We have created the Diverse Community Fund because our communities are changing and there are different needs and aspirations to meet – including how people want to be involved. The Fund has been established to help Tenant and Resident Associations and Area Representatives to develop ideas to meet these needs.
What can it be used for?
The fund is additional money for Tenant and Resident Associations and Area Representatives to carry out specific projects or activities that will seek to involve all the people they represent. Projects or activities must be new initiatives which also need to support the business objectives of West North West Homes Leeds.
We want to see new and creative ideas as to how they can involve the community.
Who can apply to the Diverse Community Fund?
Priority will be given to recognised Tenants and Residents Associations and Area Representatives. Subject to demand, we may also consider applications from other community groups, where the grant would benefit council tenants.
The decision on whether bids are successful is made by the Executive Committee of the Customer Involvement Network, which is comprised of customers elected to represent tenants and leaseholders.
